Wildfire: Try a Viral Marketing Campaign for Free
Obviously, the Basic plan doesn’t offer many bells and whistles, but it does allow unlimited entries for contests, sweepstakes and giveaways and distribution through all of the available channels, including Facebook, MySpace, Ning and Bebo, with more to come.
You can choose from different social networks such as Facebook, MySpace, Ning and Bebo, but in this example I’ve selected Facebook. If you’re trying to promote a prize giveaway or other type of contest through social media, you should check out Wildfire Promotion Builder. Wildfire has helped create and

Shout’Em: Roll your Own Microblogging Community
The company appears to be pursuing growth over immediate revenue streams, such as the lucrative delivery of SMS notifications and the ability to ‘white-label’ the service with a company, group or organization’s own branding and features. VC recently told me that startups offering white-label options are generally a sign of an inability to capture a broad consumer audience along with the associated value and volume. Twitter is now rumored to have between four and five million users , varying from the inactive and curious, to hardcore life-streamers, though it still lacks some useful features like groups .

KMWorld.com: : Enterprise social Software technology
The social workplace It seems like nearly all new technologies today get labeled "social." For better or worse, social software exists within a broader phenomenon that many label Enterprise 2.0 Many observers label collaboration as "old school," while networking is considered newer, cooler and more "fun." Cisco WebEx Connect Questions
More partnerships - perhaps with Jive or other white label/hosted social/community platforms vendors.
Terms of service will be critical in terms of stewardship - what are the licensing terms for widgets - TOS for users and partners, will there be a way to disable or delete widgets (refer to recent Ning and Facebook issues) ...
Recommendation: People should be examining Cisco's announcements this week more broadly that just a SaaS Collaboration/Web 2.0 play and/or as an update on its UC/video/telepresence efforts.

Filling the Connection Gaps with Konnects
8221; I hate accounting.
What Konnects has that LinkedIn doesn’t have is an integration of Communities - not Groups - that are essentially white label networks a la Ning . If you join a number of communities, you can actually get an aggregated view of, say, the classifieds from all communities, and you can access all you communities with one login, one password (unlike Ning). When it comes to truly professional “social” networks, there are far less than general interest and entertainment-oriented networks. Ryze is virtually dead.

Expanded enterprise social software vendor taxonomy
This "vendor taxonomy" divides the world of enterprise social software into the following areas: Platform vendors; Social software suites; Wiki and blogging (and forum) software; White-label community services (e.g. Ning, Lithium); and Public networks (e.g. Hat tip to Patti Anklam for pointing to an overview of vendors in the enterprise social software space by CMS Watch's Tony Byrne . LinkedIn, Facebook). However, IMHO this taxonomy misses out a set of other important elements in the enterprise social computing stack.

New KM Links
White-label community services (e.g. Ning, Lithium)
Here is the second installment of our new feature "KM Links," which tries to keep you current on the world of knowledge management by guiding you to interesting articles and blog posts from the past few weeks. From among the current set of links, I think one of the most interesting is " Employee Social Networking at Sabre ," which highlights Toby Ward's case study on Sabre's unique employee networking system and how it is benefiting the organization.
