They first started playing with hosted wikis like SeedWiki in early 2005 to collaboratively edit documents and to work in committees virtually. People could add comments to the document rather than editing it. They decided to use MediaWiki in May 2005 and installed locally in July. Rock on! Update: Ok, nevermind. OVERDUE!

ended up using MediaWiki for the guides and tweaked the skin, Cologne Blue to meet our needs. wish I could recommend something to you, but I didn’t find anything like that myself when I was doing it (that’s not to say that there isn’t something like that… the documentation for MediaWiki is really disorganized).
