Knowledge To Go: Put Your Wiki On Your IPhone
HTTrack is a highly configurable crawler that allows you to create a complete snapshot of your wiki ( Mediawiki in my case). After some trial and error, I discovered that since I used Semantic Mediawiki I needed to be even more careful with the links I wanted to include (many of the Special and Property pages took FOREVER to index).

Personal Memex
This really means a place to store bookmarks, web pages, snippets of pages, documents, etc. This would ideally include the ability to annotate existing notes, or documents. Not just the ability to do basic text search my links, documents, notes, or journals. but none of then were 100% complete in my mind. as well as tagging.

Another Enterprise 2.0 Knowledge Sharing Success Story - VistaWiki
He recently published the O’Reilly book, MediaWiki. They had plans to hire a number of recent college graduates and many of their process and practices were not documented. MediaWiki , the software that runs Wikipedia, was selected. The software development organization was chosen as the first place to implement the new system.

CIL Day 1: Wikis in Action | Information Wants To Be Free
They first started playing with hosted wikis like SeedWiki in early 2005 to collaboratively edit documents and to work in committees virtually. People could add comments to the document rather than editing it. They decided to use MediaWiki in May 2005 and installed locally in July. Rock on! Update: Ok, nevermind. OVERDUE!

ended up using MediaWiki for the guides and tweaked the skin, Cologne Blue to meet our needs. wish I could recommend something to you, but I didn’t find anything like that myself when I was doing it (that’s not to say that there isn’t something like that… the documentation for MediaWiki is really disorganized).

A: Karen Huffman (in Federal Knowledge Management Working Group ): Open source wiki: MediaWiki - same application used by the State Department for their eDiplomacy site. MediaWiki still requires users to learn wiki markup to author content. You'd have the open source community as your support but not a vendor. WordPress - Free.
