Microsoft with SharePoint 2007 is trying to get into the expertise location market , while IBM's latest versions of Lotus Connections are shifting into more sophisticated approaches to finding expertise. IBM, Microsoft) are responding to this strategic middleware/infrastructure requirement that large enterprise customers will need as part of Web 2.0/Enterprise 2.0 Additionally, Microsoft needs to be much more clear on where it will be implementing Atom and AtomPub within SharePoint. Regarding IBM, they are almost as bad.

Our IT department therefore concludes that MS Sharepoint is the basis on which to build SDC’s collaboration platform. My folders.
